Oh babey, it's what we've ALL been waiting for. THE episode of the season that seperates the drag queens from the drag princesses, the tops from the twinks, or as we say at Crusty Debs, the Shea Coulee from everyone else! It's Snatch Game!! Oh but this isn't any old snatch, it's the snatch game....of loooooove? Not only do we get to witness a bunch of gay men try their darndest to laugh the socks off of Rupaul but now they also have to do it in a completely unrelated dating show gimmick. Alexis had a clear step up, she was doing gay af Alicia Keys in season 3 before it was fashionable.
Every time this episode comes around I just love witnessing the intense prestige we give it when in reality, I don't get to see a cabaret of hilarious celebrity impressions. I instead see a bunch of stressed out gays who are in WAY over their head. I have a pretty low tolerance for cringe and seeing these queens try their darndest stresses me the h*ck out. Alexis, Juju, and Shea were great to watch not cos they were funny necessarily but because they looked like they had fun with it!
Obligatory Blair and Shea runway gush. I love a little gender bending moment and Blair's prom King & Queen in one look: gagged. Shea delivered an iconic Carrie cum season 9 finale moment and I felt exactly the same when I saw Lizzo: enlightened.
So up until this point in the episode, the editing was sh-sh-sh-shakey dear and now we understand why. The girls are PLOTTING!!! I was living for the sheer excess of juicy juicy drama by the end of this episode. This is what All Stars is supposed to be about, backstabbing, plotting, gossip, tea, and hijinks GALORE. Alas, India's 9th hour twist brought her down and she sadly left us. Poor India, she came into the competition as "the queen that got lifted up by Mimi Imfurst" and she leaves the competition as "the queen that coasted along despite being in the bottom and then maybe stabbed her friend in the back". Yikes.
